Hello all This will be the last email I write home to all of you. I find it hard to believe that this is the last week of my mission, and that I will soon be with all of you again. I'm going to miss the philippines sobra. Im super glad that I was able to end my mission off on a good note. This area has been amazing and the ward already feels like family after just 4 weeks of bring here. We have so many friends that are excited and coming to church and ready to make their first covenant with Heavenly Father. I love missionary work so much. I'm going to miss it incredibly. It's going to be a super fun week and very rewarding as well. Gonna be ending the mission off with a baptism #BUZZERBEATER. After that sunday, I will be heading to the airport in just a couple short days. Ahhh People have started giving gifts and telling me best of luck in my next journey and it honestly kinda breaks my heart thinking this is coming to an end... i'm excited to be home but wow I lov...

New mission call?!?📍🌏

Image
Hey everyone!👋Just thought I would send out another email today. Not really sure why, just kinda feeling like it😁 This week something pretty cool happened. I got to read another mission call. No, not my first one when I was called to Philippines San Pablo Mission, but another one. Since our mission is splitting, some missionaries from my mission are going to the new Lipa mission. So... we all got new mission calls!! First things first, reading it gave me flashbacks to when I read my first one in the Lomus house, in front of about 60 people only this time, It wasn't in front of anyone😅 I remember the feelings from my first call, nervous, excited, anxious and peaceful. As I read my new mission call, I was overwhelmed with the same excitement. Ill attach a pic of the call down below so yall can read it. Nothing too crazy haha cuz im gonna be home in 6 weeks anyways🤗🥹 I stayed po😉 Anyways, we had another baptism this weekend! Sarah is the best and so willing to follow Jesus...

Hey everyone👋 The past couple of months in the mission have been 10/10. As I have been closer to coming home, its been a lot easier to appretiate all of the amazing things I have been blessed with from my mission here in the Philippines. I specifically remember a day where it was so hot, we didnt have any power/electricity/wifi and we were studying while laying down on our tile floor because that was the coolest place we could find. And oh how I wouldnt trade it for anything else. I have grown to love EVERY little aspect of this place and I am sad I will have to leave so soon. On that note... 3 Months left/100 days Whaaaa?!?!?!🤯🥳😱 Its a new cycle which means new companions (yes companions) and new area!! I am in a trio and my companions are so awesome. Elder Keeler is from American Fork and Elder Silvederio is from Olongapo city Philippines! Super grateful to be with both of them they are awesome. Im in a little city called Alaminos and it could very well be my last area. Its the...

Two Weeks in a Row

Wow two weeks in a row is crazyyy... I guess we will see how long this lasts hahaha. With transfers coming up next week I just thought I would give a little update. Missionary work has been really good lately. We have been giving it our all and we are really starting to see some progress. This is where its at. I cant imagine a life without all of the craziness of being a missionary. Definatly going to be an adjustment when I come home and no one wants to go grocery shopping with me😅 Anyways this was such a good week. Got to go on 2 exchanges with 2 of my favorite Elders. Elder Park who is korean and so cool and..... ELDER SMITH!! Finally got to run exchanges w the MTC comp and it was so awesome we saw tons of miracles. After reading Elder Staffords email, I was inspired and ne and Elder Park made a goal to talk to literally everybody we saw. It was fun and super exhausting but we saw tons of miracles and 2 of the people we found that day came to church!! Hoping to extend to them her...

Letter to the Ward

Hey guys! Its Elder Ducker and I am currently serving in the Philippines san pablo mission. Hope you guys are doing well. I just wanted to share about my mission and a couple of the things I have learned in my 18 months so far! One thing that I have learned is how much God loves us. When you share about the restored gospel to people that have never heard of our church... you start to realize how important and beautiful the message really is. I wanna share a lesson that I learned this week. To be open to spiritual promptings. This week everything was so clear. It almost felt like me and my companion could hear a voice guiding us throughout the whole week (not an exageration) We found so many amazing people that are so prepared because we did the spiritual preperation and were open to hearing the voice of the Holy Ghost. The Holy Ghost is so hard to hear, that is why its called the still small voice. If we cant listen to or hear the loud voice of our church leaders, or parents, or pro...
