Exact Obedience brings talks⁉️🤦🏻‍♂️😁

Yo what's good everybody? This week was so wild and I have so much to talk about. First of all, it's crazy that I only have 2 more weeks here I'm so hyped for the pines🇵🇭🤯 I should probably clear up the title before I get into the details of this week tho😂 The MTC pushes this thing called exact obedience and its self explanatory but it's it's pretty much just following all of the rules they have to a tee, like waking up exactly at 6:30 and not 6:45 for example. Well this week, I told myself I was gonna be exactly obedient and push myself to see what blessings come from it. At the very end of the week, I had barely noticed anything different to be completely honest and then the unthinkable happened. My bishop asks me to give a talk in sacrament meeting this next sunday💀💀🤪 for those of you who really know me you know that I HATE public speaking with a passion so this should be fun haha. But to ge honest I do see it as a blessing I'm here to get better and become a better person and this is a great step in that improvement process for me. Also great practice for the pines🇵🇭😅 Anyways this week was an amazing one Elder Uchtdorf came this week and gave us a devotional which was so awesome he was like 30 feet from me😊 he's like the biggest celebrity here which I think is so funny the mtc is wild. My favorite thing he said was to control what you can control. As a missionary you can't really control much. My schedule is pretty much made for me, and I'm stuck in 7 hours of classes a day which can be hard. But I can control things like my attitude, thoughts, actions, and reactions which I though was super cool. This week, me and Elder Smith had 2 tagalog lessons in the same day back to back. That was so sick because no one really ever does that because they are so hard but I figured I'll have 20 in a row in the pines so I might as well start somewhere. The crazy part is, they both went really good! We almost got perfect scores on the lessons in tagalog. Sometimes I don't get it there's no way that I should be able to speak the language this well and it really shows me how hard God is working in my life to get me to where I need to be. The last thing I wanna talk about is how much I miss everyone. Being in the MTC for 9 weeks is a struggle especially when my house is 30 mins away. I see things that are going on back home and it makes me miss yall like crazy fr. Shoutout Bella woooo! She gave her farewell talk a couple days ago and killed it (she sent me it) I'm so proud of her I know making the decision to be a missionary can be so hard. Also shoutout to all the boys I love telling our wild stories to the people here it brings me back I love and miss yall so much. Anyways I gotta lock in but just know I miss everyone!
