I love you...Anthony Edwards (week 5)

This week was so fun. Once again, it went by way too fast. Time flies as a missionary it's actually crazy. For all of you that still read my emails... I miss you🫰🏼🥲 And for those of you that don't, I still miss you. This week me and Elder Smith had our first tagalog lesson! For those of you who don't know, which is probably everyone, they have these things here called HOA's where you go teach an actor a lesson for like 20 mins We had a couple English ones the first couple weeks and they went really well but the big challenge is the tagalog one. Everyone says that they suck and that were gonna completely fumble and its gonna be horrible. So I was super surprised when it went really well and we got really good scores on it. Tagalog is soooo hard and I feel like I'm kinda getting the hang of it but I just know the second I'm in the Philippines it's gonna be so different and I'm gonna be so lost. Something funny that happened in the HOA is the actor asked me what my favorite NBA team was. I meant to respond by saying "the timberwolves dahil mahal ko si Anthony Edwards" which means the Timberwolves because I love Anthony Edward's but I accidently said " the timberwolves dahil...mahal kita Anthony edwards" which means, I love you... Anthony Edward's 😅🤦🏻‍♂️ Me and the actor died laughing for like 30 seconds and I had to say sorry for telling him that I love him😂 I saw alot of friends this week which is always fun. I have some pictures in my Google photos if u wanna go look it was pretty chill. Seeing familiar faces always makes my day because every day is the fetching exact same hahaha. Something that's crazy is one of carsons best friends is in my branch (shoutout aleigha) it's actually crazy if you think about it there's probably only 70 kids in my branch out of the 2000 that are here what are the odds that she's in my branch🤪 The closer and closer I get to going out to the Philippines 🇵🇭 the more excited I get. Its gonna suck to leave here and say bye to everyone but I can't wait for the craziness of the field it couldn't come any sooner. This week was fast Sunday so I tried actually fasting for like the first time ever and it went good. Sometimes it's cool to just put your trust in God and do what he asks of us because he knows what he's doing. This week was hard because a couple kids In my district might get sent home for surgeries. One of them for sure has to go home and he can't fly with us. The other one doesn't know for sure yet but he thinks he tore his rotator cuff in his shoulder. I know how hard surgery can be espesially when it's gets in the way of things and delays your life but like I said earlier, god knows what he's doing so we just have to put our trust in him. Sorry this one was a long one idk if yall prefer them longer or shorter so I guess I'll just switch it up every week. Love you all and miss you sooooo much pls message me🤟🏻😁🫰🏻

Hey guys happy 4th! hope you guys hada great time! 4th of July here was SO FUN!! we did absolutly nothing😆 I wish they celebrated the 4th here but unfortunately I am not in america haha so it was just a normal day. This week was pretty solid tho. the KIs went crazy and I almost hit my first triple double but only had 7 people show up to church. next week nalang.. This week we had zone con which was okay haha. Definitely missed the gang but its cool I got to say bye to a bunch of legends in this mission. Its crazy after these next 2 cycles my batch and the 2 batches ahead of me are pretty much running the mission..😅 good thing im finally figuring out missionary work. I honestly dont know what else happened this week but it was a great week. (Week #52) One year😱🥳🥰

Wow I dont even know how to start this email hahaha this might take me all day to write. 1 Year is crazy I have no clue where all the time went😅 Mixed emotions fr im going through it all right now. I am so so so grateful to be a missionary of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and its easily the best decision I have ever made. I have learned so much this year and I wanna share a little at the end of this email. This week was CRAZY. This email might break my record for longest email so please bear with me haha. First off, Transfers. I am staying in my same area for a 3rd cycle!! I love my area and the people here and my new comp seems cool!! He is another Filipino I love these Filipinos. On thursday the new missionaries got here in the mission and since I am close to the mission home me and my comp both got a trainee until today. And it was sooo fun. Drunk Tatays🤪

hey guys👋 I don't know if Im gonna be able to do this email thing every week to be honest. I'm actually loving my area and my comp and the work is way better now that I can actually speak the language haha but for some reason I have nothing to say in my emails anymore😅 the days are all blending together and every week feels like a couple days fr. actually I just looked through my pics and there were a couple good things that happened this week🤪. first off, something that happened yesterday. we have been teaching this tatay and trying to help him stop drinking and smoking and he was improving so well... until homie pulled up to church DRUNK lmaoo🤣🥴 that was so funny it made church way better cus im always stressed abt PSM and all that.
