James’ Mission Sept ‘24 - Sept ‘26 San Pablo Philippines

Time is going so fast its crazy. Its been a while since I sent an email and I am so excited to give an update on the last couple of months. Life is still so amazing and im getting a little scared that I am going to have to come home in 4 months🥹 Also just realized I havent sent an email in a couple of cycles haha oops I have an american comp for the first time since my training and it has been SO MUCH FUN🤣 The work has been so fun and our area is doing so good as well. His names Elder Green and hes from maple mountain. We are batch out so its been a little hard to not talk about home and the amazing things were gonna do when we get home but we have been having fun🥳 Also copped a kalbo (Buzz) again🔥 I love being a missionary. Hey guys! Its Elder Ducker and I am currently serving in the Philippines san pablo mission. Hope you guys are doing well. I just wanted to share about my mission and a couple of the things I have learned in my 18 months so far! One thing that I have learned is how much God loves us. When you share about the restored gospel to people that have never heard of our church... you start to realize how important and beautiful the message really is. I wanna share a lesson that I learned this week. To be open to spiritual promptings. This week everything was so clear. It almost felt like me and my companion could hear a voice guiding us throughout the whole week (not an exageration) We found so many amazing people that are so prepared because we did the spiritual preperation and were open to hearing the voice of the Holy Ghost. Hey guys👋🙂 These last couple weeks have been really good. Alot has happened since my last email so I am excited to give everyone an update!! NEW AREA!!🥳😁🎉 Wow I loved my last area so much and I miss it so much. Amazing things were happening in Calauag and still are. Butttt... I got moved to another area in the same zone and its only 30 minuites away!! I dont think I couldve gotten any luckier. I am the one that gets to do the baptism interviews for all of my friends that we were teaching and I have already done a couple. Its been so fun to see them again and the smile on their faces when I come back is the best part. My new area is called Lopez and its super simalar to my last area but its a branch My companion and Kabahays are amazing we have been working so hard and have been having so much fun. I have once again been humbled by this beautiful country. I guess last year I was too busy thinking about myself and my circumstances to realize how many people here are all by themselves for christmas. No family, no presents or even a celebration. For some people it was just another day. Merry christmas Everyone!🎄❤️ I hope you enjoyed christmas and really took for granted your time with family and the all the other amazing things that we are so blessed to have. This year christmas was amazing!! I told my family It was one of my favorites but I didnt wanna spoil the details. For once in my life Christmas was about others and not me. This christmas consisted of caroling, visiting people who have no family, and sharing about Jesus Christ. We made cookies and brought them to families that had no money or presents. We went caroling and instead of asking for money (like they do here) We gave them cookies!!🤗🍪 Im glad I was finally able to stop complaining and thinking so much of myself ...

Maybe today Ill start the email off with a story. On Saturday Night we were teaching our friends Justine and Luzviminda about repentance, and I caught myself sharing my story and my testimony with them. I remember the spirit being SUPER strong in our teaching, but to be honest, the only words I remember saying were "There is nowhere else In the entire world that I would rather be than right here, in the Philippines, Teaching about repentance and the Restored church here on earth." I know I probably have said this in every email I have ever sent out, but I am soooo blessed and lucky to be here in the Phillipines serving a mission for Jesus Christs church here on earth. You know how when something super fun or amazing ends we always say "I wish I wouldve enjoyed that more" or "I wish I didnt spend so much of my time doing other things like scrolling on my phone or being lazy" Time flies... Hey everybody this week was amazing and one of my favorite weeks of my whole mission!! I know most of you are probably thinking that the title is clickbait... its not. So yeahh im excited to talk ab this week! ◇GOLFING!!🏌‍♂️⛳️ I guess first I will just share ab the title... IT HAPPENED. WE FINALLY WENT GOLFING BUT NOT ONLY THAT MY FREAKING COMPANION GOT A HOLE IN ONE😱🤯🥳🤣🤩🤪😱🙉😎🫡🤗 I dont even know what else to say it was the craziest thing ever. It was my companions first time ever golfing and bro hit a hole in one on a par 3, 94 yards😹😹 Wow what an experience. I missed golf so much and it was good to be back after a year of not golfing. The view was amazing and the course was beautiful. shoutout pops hes been getting way better than me so it was good to get back and hit a couple balls.
